Sauna

The principle of the sauna

The sauna is made of pine in the north; inside, seating on several levels, and a stove where hot volcanic stones. During the meeting, you can pour water on these stones in order to moisten the atmosphere, but unlike the steam room where the atmosphere is saturated with 100% humidity, heat the sauna remains dry (between 3 and 20%), but also greater: from 79 to 90 C approximately.

The ritual of the sauna, step by step

The sauna starts first with a shower, hygiene course, but also to warm the body. We will carefully rub the body's extremities (hands and feet) to achieve a relatively uniform temperature throughout the body. A thorough drying will prevent the body cool, but not to delay the process of sweating in the cabin once.

Then one enters the cabin, where we sit, the choice on the bench top or bottom. Know this: the more one climbs, the more heat is important. Small clarification: the sauna is practiced preferably naked for hygiene reasons, but also not to hinder the process of sweating and the circulation.

This first passage in the cabin takes up 8 to 10 minutes slowly, the process of sweating begins. It is primarily the upper body sweats. When the sweat beading on flows in the body, it is time to leave. This passage can be shortened and the process of sweating is not yet well established, the body temperature rises more rapidly, and the heat can quickly become unbearable ... Listen to your body!

Direction then the shower, or warm water, or rather cool, remove the sweat and cools the skin. In traditional saunas, it is in a cold water bath (17 c) immerse the bravest! After the shower, some rest (15, 20 minutes) to restore the body's functions. In order not to cool the body, remember to cover.

During a sauna in the rules of art, we repeat this cycle three times: hot shower + sauna + shower + fresh rest. The duration of the sauna varies from 8 to 15 minutes is usually the second portion is the longest, because the body is accustomed to heat. On the third pass, fatigue arises, one can either delete it or shorten it. Between each meeting in the cabin, remember to rehydrate.

The benefits of the sauna

The high temperature causes heavy sweating, which helps eliminate toxins accumulated in our body.

The high heat also helps relax muscles, release tension and any body aches. It also stimulates cardiac function. The alternating hot and cold about it gives a boost to the bloodstream.

Finally, the effect of "knocking out" the heat (the entire body is mobilized to regulate its temperature, the brain, it "wins") can break free from everyday concerns.

Rubella

Rubella is a viral disease, contagious

Rubella is a viral disease. The reservoir of rubella virus is humans, this virus is spread through the air from one person to another.

The disease is highly contagious and is often contracted during childhood when it is mild and slightly uncomfortable and may even go unnoticed.

It seems rash or not starting behind the ears as small red patches, the rash spreads to the face and then throughout the body, the fever is seldom severe. Sometimes it appears glands in the neck and behind the ears.

The patient is contagious for about ten days before the onset of the disease and the eruption of buttons for 2 weeks. When the disease goes unnoticed despite a plague of viruses is the same.

Congenital rubella

The major danger of this infectious disease is a pregnant woman is reached: in fact, that the baby bears it might also have a rubella as the disease is mild in children, both in the virus causes the embryo or fetus during its development, multiple serious birth defects varies with age of pregnancy: the eyes, ears, heart and brain, the CRS may be responsible for blindness deafness, heart problems and mental retardation in children being born.

This is an indication of therapeutic abortion.

Hence the interest of preventing the disease before the age women are having children.

Prevention is vaccination

Today young children are vaccinated at the age of 1 year (or earlier if they have to go to a nursery), usually at the same time as that against measles and mumps cons (one Shot Protection of 3 diseases), a booster shot is made at the age of 3 years.

Even little boys are vaccinated, the goal is to eradicate the disease as the only reservoir of virus is human, it makes sense to have this vaccination policy overall.

Vaccination enables the body to produce specific antibodies against this virus and to protect life.

When a young girl consults a doctor or a gynecologist for example for a first birth, it is useful to have a rubella serology to determine if it is protected: that is to say whether his body has manufactured antibodies that are able to fight effectively against the virus. The blood test used to assay the anti-rubella.

This examination is required as part of the premarital examination.

Mumps is a viral disease of childhood

Mumps is a viral disease of childhood

Mumps is a viral disease, usually not serious. This disease is very contagious, it occurs in epidemics especially in early childhood. It is transmitted through droplets of saliva.

The parotid glands are affected

The virus has a tropism glandular, that is to say that it will be housed preferably in some particularly parotid glands: these are salivary glands located in front of the ear lobes, it can also reach the pancreas is in the abdomen and testicles, it can also touch, rarely, the nervous system ..

The course of the disease

The incubation period (from when the body is affected by the virus and the appearance of signs of illness) lasts about three weeks and the patient is contagious about 7 days before the onset of the disease and for another 7 days.

He healed without complications in most cases. A person who caught the mumps is protected all his life against this virus.

A pear-shaped face

The little patient has a fever and her face contorted parotitis: indeed the parotid glands are affected by the virus and they are swollen: the patient's face is pear-shaped. It is often the only signs that appear.

Sometimes the disease goes completely unnoticed.

Pubescent boys, watch out! Risk of infertility

Some children have never been in contact with the mumps virus or vaccinated, they are not immune and can then contract the disease when they are adolescents or adults.

The danger of this disease is that a pubescent male child or an adult is reached: the testes may be affected and the risk of infertility exists.

No specific treatment

There is no treatment against mumps. It is useful to prescribe painkillers to fight against pain and antipyretics for fever control cons.

Prevention is vaccination

It is strongly recommended to vaccinate young children against mumps at age 1 year, 9 months for those who go to nursery group.

This vaccine is often combined vaccine against measles and rubella cons. It is recommended that a reminder from 3 years.

This is the best way to prevent the disease and thus eliminate the risk of infringement of the testicles in pubescent boys

Remember

Mumps, caused by the mumps virus primarily affects the parotid glands.

After puberty, boys, the testicles can be achieved and the risk of infertility exists.

Vaccinating children is the way to avoid this accident.

Hepatitis B

Some are due to hepatitis viruses cause liver inflammation. These are mainly for hepatitis A, B, C. Several types of viruses are responsible for these hepatitis: the hepatitis A virus (HAV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV). There are other less common hepatitis (E, F, G ...).

Each of these hepatitis has a different transmission mode, events more or less spectacular but also an evolution of the particular disease, some are frequently benign others may become chronic and lead to chronic lesions in the liver.
In addition to this form, read our case: All about hepatitis B.

Hepatitis B is caused by type B virus
Its mode of transmission is different from that of hepatitis A. The virus is found in blood, sexual secretions ... The disease is transmitted to a healthy individual when the virus comes into contact with blood.

The virus is not fragile, it can live outdoors on toilet articles, so anything that affects the skin and can cause even minor injury should not be shared.

A sexually transmitted disease (STD)
Hepatitis B is a sexually transmitted disease, that is to say, it can sometimes be transmitted during sexual intercourse. Indeed, the virus is present in vaginal secretions and semen. If the partner has a healthy wound, he may contract the disease, the virus being in contact with his blood. People who have multiple partners are more at risk than people with a stable sexual life.
======================

Hepatitis B drug
Hepatitis B is very common among drug users who use the multi-drug injection equipment (spoon, cotton, needle, syringe).
Occupational disease
Hepatitis B can be recognized as an occupational disease: there are strict hygiene measures in the medical community. Specific protocols must be monitored by the nursing staff to avoid being contaminated gloves for wound care ...
Dental care, acupuncture is performed by dentists and doctors, they ensure that the equipment used for care is fully sterilized or disposable.

Transfusions of blood and blood products today are not contaminated, it would be exceptional: a systematic screening of all donated blood is made.
Professional tattoos and piercings should only use of disposable equipment.
