THE hyperemesis gravidarum


During the first three months of gestation, about 80% of pregnant women suffer from nausea, morning in many cases, sometimes more persistent during the day.
Overall this is an annoying noise but not disturbing: even when symptoms are intense not affect the overall health of the mother and child. The GI is characterized by frequent and repeated vomiting throughout the day, resulting in fatigue, progressive dehydration, weight loss, increased heart rate. In some cases blood tests reveal an increase of ketones (substances produced by the body in case of shortage of sugar) in the blood.
