Short Board

Cutting edge measurement tables are five and a half to seven feet long, 16 to 20 inches wide, and two to three inches thick. Nose broad range from ten to 12 inches, and tails of 12 to 15 inches. Most cutting edge having a triple system of a large central fin and two smaller fins fins on the rails, but two fins, four fins, and five fin systems can also be used.

Called boosters or yield tables, are generally designed for speed, maneuverability, and high performance, and are commonly used by surfers in the waves of high and rough. Most are designed for surfers, because they are less stable and more difficult to balance long and standard length boards surfboards.

Cutting edge types are:

Standard cutting edge weights have moderated slightly curved and funds (known as rockers). They are designed for all-around use and performance log.

Cutting edge high-performance

High performance rockers are lighter and have more rocker in the tail. They are designed for tight turns and maneuvers difficulat, and can withstand rough wave conditions.

Ripples cutting edge

Cutting edge ripples are heavier and less rock. They are used for small wave performance surfing.

Choose cutting edge

Rocker: Choose a short board with a low to get more speed, and high for better maneuverability. Superior rockers sit in deeper water and more stable, making it ideal for high surf, whitewater. Low rock, on the other hand, creating less resistance and more smoothly.

Length: Select a longer cutting edge for greater stability and straight movement. This is ideal for beginners who are still learning to balance. For more advanced, shorter boards are excellent turning and control. Andfaster are also lighter, ideal for surfing and performance tips.
