Although there are minimum standards required by law, all cars will provide the same security. Here we describe some features that you should consider when purchasing a new car to determine its safety:
Size and weight. Because the physical forces exerted during an impact, the heavier and larger vehicles will generally be safer.
Structural design of the vehicle. Consider how resistant is the structure of travel where the passenger compartment and front and rear ends of the vehicle, which are designed to absorb most of the impact during a crash.
Containment systems and effective security. Make sure you tell the car with seat belts, air bags and proper restraints (which are adjustable, which have a reminder system, which are placed at the correct distance, etc..) So they can stay safe during a collision, minimizing the impact and prevent you from being thrown from the car.
ABS. Try to choose a car that includes this feature, as it prevents your car from sliding when braking suddenly, allowing you to maintain steering control.
Monitoring system tire pressure. All tires lose air over time. Although it is safest pressure checked at least once a month, there are cars with automatic monitoring systems that alert the driver when a tire does not have the proper pressure.
