About Infertility

The treatment of infertility is one of the most innovative and challenging areas of medicine, under the ever-increasing demand for effective treatments, safe and cost-effective to serve the growing number of infertile couples who turn to specialized centers for medically assisted procreation.

Even a quarter of all couples may have problems conceiving and this fact seems to be increasing because of the tendency to postpone marriage and pregnancy at an age increasingly late. Overall, according to estimates by the World Health Organization (WHO), currently the world there would be approximately 60-80 million cases of infertility.
The fact of not being infertile does not mean they can not conceive.
To resolve the various causes of infertility today is becoming more frequent use of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) in particular in vitro fertilization with embryo transfer (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm microinjection (ICSI) thanks to growing acceptance of these procedures by the public and the growing willingness on the part of health agencies and insurance companies to bear the costs.
