The long-awaited Royal Wedding were all major British car manufacturers: Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Range Rover.
Viewers around the world were able to see the rare Rolls-Royce Phantom IV 1954, a car that was just reallizzata in 18 specimens and had the task of bringing the bride to the altar.
The Queen arrived on board instead of a Bentley Arnage with special equipment, while the lucky guests arrived with a Jaguar XJ. Together with the real cars were the Range Rover which are supplied to Royalty Protection Squad. There is also another British brand, Aston Martin DB6 Volante with the choice of husband and wife as a coach for a ride through the crowd. All trademarks historic automobiles, all very important, but none of them is now more part of England. Rolls Royce owned by BMW, Bentley is of the Volkswagen Group, while Jaguar and Land Rover were bought by Tata, the Indian carmaker.
This is a very special case because India was a British colony. A purchase in London have never accepted at all, but you are okay just to save jobs. Only Aston Martin, having been part of the Ford Group, appears to have regained British citizenship through a consortium of investors led by Britain's David Richards, even if Ford keeps part of the shares. The vintage cars, British or not, they have helped make the ceremony even more special
